Looking for a wood heating system that delivers what it promises: a creosote free burn; proven high efficiency; ease of use; safety; and longevity? Well…you just found what you have been looking for in GARN® WHS Smokeless Wood Heat equipment.

GARN® WHS non-pressurized wood fired hydronic heaters may be located within the building to be heated or remotely in a small shed. GARN® WHS wood heating equipment interfaces easily will all types of hydronic delivery systems including: radiant floor, hot water baseboard and radiators. It also interfaces easily with forced air furnaces by utilizing an in-duct hot water coil.

Efficiency
GARN WHS equipment was independently tested for efficiency in 1986 (70% overall) and 2006 (75.4)% overall) based on the higher heating value of wood. This means less smoke, less wood burned, less wood handling and reduced emissions.

Emissions
GARN WHS emissions are proven to be significantly lower than other outdoor wood heating equipment and 33% lower than the proposed 2008 EPA regulations.

Safety
Because of internal energy storage, GARN WHS further increases safety by not requiring an active fire overnight. With GARN® equipment, approximately 97% of the wood is converted to energy and 87% of that energy is stored for use.GARN equipment is certified safe by a leading independent USA and Canadian product testing laboratory.

Longevity
GARN WHS equipment has a proven corrosion protection system that includes the water-side welding of all internal seams and the inclusion of a manway access.

Location
You do not have to stand outdoors to load a GARN WHS unit because the unit is housed within a small shed. GARN equipment is even certified to be located within commercial buildings.

TTW1 Gas Water Heater
Features
  • Power vented for positive exhaust--the TTW1 users a specially designed assembly that blows exhaust gasses directly out of the building, eliminating the need for conventional chimneys or expensive flue systems.
  • Intermittent pilot ignition system--pilot does not burn while the water heater is in the stand-by mode.
  • 2" PVC vent--the water heater can be vented with 2" PVC for lengths up to 20 feet with (3) 90º elbows.
  • 3" PVC vent--can be vented horizontally with 3" PVC for lengths up to 85 feet with (3) 90º elbows. Each 90 elbow is equivalent to 5 feet of vent pipe length.
  • Vertical venting through the roof--the water heater can be vented through the roof at a vertical height of 20 feet when using 2" PVC and 40 feet when using 3" PVC.
  • Vitraglas® lining--this exclusive glass formulation is applied under pressure to completely cover the tank interior for years of extra service. Protects against rust and corrosion. Will not crack or peel.
  • Protective magnesium rod--inhibits corrosion of tank interior for long trouble-free service.
  • Factory installed Hydrojet® Total Performance System--cold inlet sediment reducing device. Helps prevent sediment build up in tank. Increases first hour delivery of hot water while preventing temperature build up at top of tank.
  • Factory installed dielectric waterway fittings--all heaters equipped with special water heater nipples for longer life. No special dielectric fittings to buy.
  • Non-CFC foam insulation--covers the side and top of tank to save fuel by retarding loss of heat. Also increases jacket rigidity. R-value 8
  • Fully automatic controls--automatic temperature selection. Built-in energy cut-off switch prevents abnormally high water temperature for extra safety. Combination gas valve has built-in gas pressure regulation.
  • T&P relief valve opening--all sizes have special tapping on side of tank for ease of installing relief valves.
  • Flue baffle--designed to maximize the amount of heat absorbed in the lower portion of the tank. Reduces air movement in the water heater during standby periods to retard heat loss up the flue.
  • Five or ten year limited warranty on steel tank--heavy gauge steel automatically formed, rolled and welded to assure a continuous seam for glass lining. Each tank is triple tested to insure quality.
  • Two year limited warranty on parts.
